SECOND CHANCE TRANSFERS ALL OF ITS LAW ENFORCEMENT WORKLOAD TO ITS CENTRAL LAKE, MI FACILITY

CENTRAL LAKE, Mich., April 19, 2006—Second Chance Armor, Inc., a leading manufacturer of concealable body armor for the law enforcement, government and security markets, and a wholly owned subsidiary of Armor Holdings, Inc., recently announced that all of its domestic law enforcement production currently produced at its Geneva, Alabama facility will be consolidated in Second Chance's facility located in Central Lake, Michigan. The Alabama production facility will be dedicated to production of military soft armor systems. The Alabama plant will be transferred to Armor Holdings' Individual Equipment Systems Division (IESD) of the Aerospace & Defense Group (ADG). The transition is anticipated to take approximately 8-12 weeks to complete.

“We are frequently analyzing the level of work we have and the efficiency of our plants to determine where we should manufacture our products,” said Glenn Katz, vice president and general manager of Second Chance. “We determined that our Michigan plant was better suited to producing the smaller, more customized orders typical in our domestic law enforcement business, while the Alabama plant excelled at producing long runs of standardized product, typically found in military production.
